Hi, I’m Dr. Lauren Pammer.

From an early age, I have always enjoyed helping people. As someone who had received special educational services at a young age, special education has always been a part of my life. When it was time for me to go to college, I knew that I wanted to go into the same field as all of the wonderful teachers who helped me. I started college as a special education major and would have happily completed this program if it wasn’t for my freshman roommate. She was majoring in something I hadn’t yet heard of called occupational therapy. As soon as I learned what OT was, I knew it was the job for me. I changed my major that year and never looked back.

Now, I love that I get to use my creativity and client-centered approach as an OT in the special education system. After practicing in various school and outpatient pediatric settings for more than ten years, I found that I really loved working with older students and supporting them and their families with transition and next steps after school ends. But what I started to notice was what a dearth of services there were for older children and teens. I saw many families struggling due to the lack of appropriate resources available in their communities. I noticed that there were a lot of services and organizations that helped with younger children, but not so much for my older students.

That’s why I started Bee You Therapy. I have loved serving as a resource for older students in the school system and I’m excited to now be doing it in a bigger way. I can’t wait to meet you and your family!

Beyond my work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and two daughters. We are huge Disneyworld lovers and go visit Mickey often. I also love sports and I am a big Chicago sports fan - go Bears!

Shannon G.

Administrative Coordinator

My name is Shannon. I am a wife and a mother of three energetic boys.  In my free time, I love to watch my boys play sports, I am a dog lover and volunteer as much as I can.  I wanted to work at Bee You Therapy because I loved the idea of continued therapy for aged-out children and young adults.

Amy S.

Program Instructor

I’m creative and energetic. I’m an animal lover and enthusiastic gardener. But most importantly, for more than 20 years, I have had a passion for working with teens and young adults with special needs. Now, as Bee You Therapy’s Program Instructor at Navarro Farm, I can utilize my skills and my passions to foster independence and life skills in the Navarro Farmers. When not at the farm, I love spending time with my husband, 4 children, and a menagerie of animals.

Natalie M.

I have experience working with pediatrics in school-based settings and clinical settings. I have received my Bachelors of Science in Occupational Science and my Masters of Occupational Therapy from Saint Louis University.  Throughout undergrad and grad school, I have experience working with adolescents and young adults as personal care attendants. This was where I discovered I have a passion for working with adolescents and teens to help them reach their long-term goals while transitioning through different life events.

Mary O.

I have been working within the pediatric occupational therapy setting since 2020. I attended Loras College for my undergraduate degree and played collegiate soccer. I then went to Drake University where I obtained my doctorate in occupational therapy. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, spending time with family, and traveling. I am certified in children's yoga and love to incorporate yoga into my practice.

Kaylee E.

I have experience working with pediatrics, community-based services, and mental health. My background is in social work but I chose to become an OT because I love helping people live their lives to the fullest and problem-solve together to figure out how we can work to achieve their goals.

I wanted to work at Bee You Therapy because I know it can be scary when a loved one "ages out" of school or is discharged from traditional therapy services before they've reached all of their goals. I feel that it is so important to continue to provide services to meet personal goals in a meaningful way. In my free time, I like to read, visit the Aquarium with my husband, and play with my pets (a cat and a French bulldog).
